York City police were called to a shooting in Penn Park on Mar. 23 at approximately 11 a.m., according to the release by the department.
The teenager was found dead "from an apparent gunshot wound" in the area of Kings Mill and South Pershing Avenue, police say.
His identity has not been released.
Police are investigating this as a homicide.
